Our assignment was to make a zine...on pretty much whatever we wanted. I wanted to combine portraiture with something...so I decided to ask people if they could change one thing about themself, what it would be. I had them write what they would change on a piece of paper so that I could use their own handwritting and then took their picture. My book is about 20 pages long but I scaned a few of the pages to put on here. The scans are kinda crappy though but it gets the point accross.
Our last assignment was to take three pictures of a person in our class. The first was a picture of that person, the second was an object that represents them and the third is a space that represents them.
This is kinda weird/crazy...click on the picture to make it bigger and look at the tear! (despite the fact that the face looks like a man and resembles Hitler...its actually this really nice girl in my class)
Our latest assignment was to shoot forgotten spaces. We went on a field trip to the abandoned Alameda Naval Base so many of these pictures were taken there. Many were also taken in Petaluma along the freeway.
These are a few of my favorite images from the assignment-
And here is a video of the slide show. The quality is horrible on the internet. It looked a lot better on the computer but here it is anyway.
